Hello all! This is the fourth edition of The Cervid! Frankly surprised I even made it this far, but it's hardly a drop in the ocean, so hopefully I don't stop anytime soon.
Life has been okay lately! Christmas is coming up, and I've been somewhat struggling to think up gifts for family. Going to hopefully figure all of that out soon --
I've got some ideas floating around, it's just a simple matter of executing them within a month. My body is hurting more than usual lately, but y'know what they say. Fuck it we ball.
Speaking of ideas! Earlier this week (at the time of writing this, actually!) I came up with this segment. I have a lot of ideas that stay ideas -- the thought of tackling them generally makes me shy away from starting them at all. Going to try another (yet another!!! I go through these like termites go through wood!!) way of getting myself to act on ideas. Whenever this segment shows up, it will be to showcase a proof of concept. Not necessarily a finished work, but also not just an unfinished idea floating in my head!
So, as for the first not quite idea, here is Fragments! A small piece made of old poetry that I either never finished or never posted. Experimental, but I figured it was neat. A fun way to recycle some old works that never made it to my feed.
Onto the cool stuff for the week!
OK Computer Essay: In my recent obsession with OK Computer, I found a lovely essay breaking down a lot of the music! It provides some insight I haven't considered or knew about prior.
Dead but Dreaming: This is a wonderful instrumental album. I don't listen to very much of vivivivivi's work, but I must give a stunning review to this album in particular. It came to me in a particularly interesting time of my life and I must say it's underrated. Listen to it!!! It's great ambience.
Once again, a shorter issue. But it keeps me writing, and it keeps me accountable! I'm quite enjoying this :3 Fragments was really fun to make and I'm proud of myself for finally getting the idea out there.
New projects on the horizon, hopefully. I intend to have a segment titled LIFE AS WE LIVE IT next week, just as a little sneak peek for anybody who happens to be reading this ;)
Take care now, stranger-friend!
